Disney has recently announced that it will launch in Saudi Arabia and across 15 MENA nations on June 8. The prices for the Kingdom are set at SR29.99 per month, or users can pay SR298.99 for an annual subscription.
Thanks to the
launch of Disney, viewers in MENA nations would be able to stream exclusive
original content, which includes thousands of episodes and movies from Disney,
Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and original Walt Disney
animated movies. Popular contents to check out are "101 Dalmatians,"
"Mulan," "The Lion King."
People in MENA
nations who subscribe to Disney will also get to view and enjoy Walt Disney
Animation Studios' Academy Award-winning "Encanto," Disney and Pixar's
Academy Award-nominated "Luca," and Academy Award-winning "Cruella."
Access to Disney
will also provide access to globally popular TV shows like "The Simpsons,"
"The
Mandalorian," and "Grey's Anatomy" to subscribers across all
regions.
Disney+ said, "Users
will have access to high-quality viewing, up to four concurrent streams,
unlimited downloads on up to 10 devices, Imax Enhanced for selected titles
(where available), and the ability to set up to seven different profiles,
including the ability for parents to set Kids Profiles that have an
easy-to-navigate child-friendly interface to access age-appropriate content."

Expansion
Plans
For those late
in the room, Disney+ was launched first in the US and select global markets,
including Canada and the Netherlands, in November 2019. After the launch, there
was a period of winding down contracts with rivals to take key Disney
properties back into house ownership.
Disney also licensed
numerous properties to an international patchwork of broadcasters and streaming
services before the launch. Until recently, the Middle Eastern rights to much
Disney+ content were held by OSN under the Disney+ on OSN banner.
After Disney+
was launched, the brand had a successful trial of a prototype DisneyLife
streaming service in the UK. The full Disney+ service replaced it in early
2020.
Disney+ is
available in more than 80 nations and territories and has claimed 196.4 million
global subscribers at the time of writing this article. It was shared in its
earnings report for the first quarter of 2022. The launch in MENA countries and
territories is a part of the brand's expansion plans.
