How did you first become involved with Toronto Auto Brokers, and how does the company's vision align with your own values?
Toronto Auto Brokers is a family-owned-and-operated pre-owned luxury car dealership. I entered the business in 2002, having completed my MBA from Schulich School of Business. The company's core vision aligns with the family's own values, based on honesty, respect, and integrity.
Which milestones have marked meeting benchmarks towards the fulfillment of your personal goals/ the company's vision and goals?
Year over year, Toronto Auto Brokers is the proud recipient of many awards, such as the CBRB Best Business in Canada Award, Consumer Top Choice Award, Three Best Businesses in Vaughan Award, Car Gurus Top Rated Dealer Award, DealerRater Consumer Satisfaction Award, and more. All such awards reflect our attention to total consumer satisfaction from A to Z, and we do so through our core values of honesty, respect, and integrity.
Which steps have you taken for the company to achieve the level of consumer trust that has been nationally recognized?
Our attention to truly understanding and accommodating our customers' needs, and even more so, our after-sales service, is what I believe separates us from the rest.
What part of your education or other experiences do you feel was the most helpful in preparing you for success?
I believe that schooling played a huge role in preparing me for success. All of the hard years of completing a tough undergraduate and graduate program equipped me with the mentality to always keep going and not give up, even when things sometimes seem impossible or overwhelming. My love for sports has also prepared me to work well in small and large groups, especially when it comes to dealing with employees of different backgrounds and differing personalities!
Which strategies have you found the most effective in growing your audience/ bringing awareness of your service to a larger consumer group?
In today's ever-connected environment, I believe that social media is the most effective tool to connect with our audience. We run campaigns and market through almost every social platform, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, and through Google SEO. Apart from that, we have a ton of referrals through word-of-mouth, which is nice and free :)
Which partnerships, if any, have been the most constructive in bringing your goals closer to becoming a reality?
The only ones that come to mind would be our partnerships and relationships with our suppliers that have brought us wonderful cars to sell over the many years.
Are there any challenges that made it difficult to continue operation and that you managed to overcome? What was your approach to get past these?
Probably, the toughest challenge to continue operations, lately, was the pandemic and the lack of cars in the market. Thankfully, given our long lasting relationships with our suppliers, we were able to overcome this challenge and fill our showroom at 80% capacity.
How do you balance work, passions/hobbies, and relationships?
I try to keep a good balance between work, family, and hobbies. I stay active through the gym and team sports throughout the year, which keeps my mind active, fresh and positive. With four children at home, family is super important and I try to be there for my children as much as possible. Having a great team around me allows me to concentrate on my own work of growing the business. Knowing that everyone will do their part and not having to micromanage is a huge stress reliever.
What are your future plans to build on your personal/ company achievements and fulfill your vision for success/ what developments can your audience or clientele look forward to expecting next?
As our company grows, we plan to provide a great array of vehicles and services to our clients. We plan on expanding our in-house financing and leasing services, which will provide many consumers with greater choices and leverage when choosing the perfect pre-owned luxury car to drive. We offer every luxury pre-owned brand in the market, so there is always something for everyone to choose from!
What advice would you like to give readers that hope to achieve success in your field?
Always strive for the top, do so with integrity, and never give up. Don't let people around you distract you from what you believe in, and don't take the easy way out. In the long run, you will be rewarded for it.
