Google plans to reveal the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro on October 6. The company previewed both the devices at I/O 2022 alongside the Pixel Watch. Now, the company has brought back its previous advertising campaign in which the company turns smartphones into crisps. According to Google's images, the Pixel 7 comes in 'Obsidian Pepper' and 'Salty Lemon, while the Pixel 7 Pro has 'Hazel Onion' and 'Snow Cheese' flavors.
Google has
based the packaging of the chips on the new looks of Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
The camera bar and corresponding camera lens designs are easy to recognize. Unlike
last year, the company will faffle off 2,000 packs via a promotion page.
Google has
also confirmed that the Tensor G2 will power both Pixel 7 series smartphones.
It is possible that Google will also release the Pixel 7a with the Tensor G2.
It might also come with the rumored Pixel Fold, which
is now codenamed 'Felix.'
People in
Japan can enter the #GoogleChips challenge by Friday, September 23. Those who
participate will get a chance to win one of 2,000 boxes of these actual chips.
Google
Pixel 7 is a hotly anticipated Android phone which was planned after the
massive success of Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. The company hopes that the phone
will continue the triumphs of the Pixel 6 as the best Android value ever. The
camera array of Pixel 7 will resemble the camera array that spans the back
panel of Pixel 6. However, the two-tone finish above and below the module might
not be there. Users will have to make do with a one-tone finish.
The colors
offered to the users will be Obsidian, Lemongrass, and Snow on Pixel 7 and
Hazel on the Pixel 7 Pro with a gold visor. More colors might be unveiled
during the actual event.
Whether one
loves or hates the design, it is a fact that it cannot be ignored. The
extraordinary design elements will easily beat several Android phones on the
market. One of the most notable changes is a tiny reduction in the bar
thickness. Other noticeable changes include a change in the lens array and the
extension of the aluminum finish across the bar. A slightly smaller size and an
under-displaying camera might also set Pixel 7 apart from the previous
generation.
It is also
speculated that the Pixel 7 display might be reduced to 6.3 inches from 6.4
inches. However, the Pixel 7 Pro will still have 6.7 inches. The change might
be good for people who prefer the smaller form factor and the look of the Pixel
6.
It is quite
clear that Google doesn't want to stray too far from the design of the last
generation. It is also a possibility that the company might go with colors,
including Kinda Coral, Sorta Seafoam, and Stormy Black from the Pixel 6 and
Sorta Sunny and Cloudy White from the Pixel 6 Pro and ensure that they return
for the Pixel 7. Know more at the Google Store.
